A modular kayak separates at purpose-built joints. Solo models use two hull sections; Tandem models use three. Assemble the matching sections for your outing, then separate them when you pack away. The hull does not fold or inflate.

Shorter sections can make storage and loading more manageable, but fit depends on their actual size, the boot opening, the seat layout and the other equipment you carry. Check the longest section, widest section and heaviest individual lift before choosing.

Passage or Odyssey?

Passage is the slimmer, versatile range. Odyssey offers a broader platform with built-in under-seat fish-storage cabins for keeping your catch on board. Both have one-seat and two-seat options, so start with your fishing plans and transport needs, then compare Passage and Odyssey. Keep hull sections within their own model family: Passage and Odyssey use different cross-sections and cannot be mixed.

Choose the way you move

Select a fin or propeller pedal package. A Solo includes one standard chair and one selected pedal drive. A Tandem includes two standard chairs and two selected pedal drives. Electric motors are optional additions; your selected pedal drives remain part of the package. Batteries and extra complete drive units are separate choices.

Fin pedals are often preferred around light weed and shallow margins because there is no spinning propeller for vegetation to wrap around. Propeller pedals use a bicycle-style circular motion and suit clearer, deeper water. Both need adequate clearance and careful use. Read the fin versus propeller guide.

Can a Solo become a Tandem?

Yes. Add the matching expansion pack: a middle hull section, one standard chair and one selected pedal drive. Choose the Passage expansion pack or Odyssey expansion pack for your own model family.

Plan your transport before your first outing

Use the transport and storage guide to check openings, cargo space, lifting and securing. Measure your own vehicle rather than relying on its category or a picture. Final packed dimensions, section weights and physical fit remain subject to sample verification. Ask for confirmed measurements before making a fit-dependent purchase.
