What a PORTL Tandem includes

Passage Tandem and Odyssey Tandem each use three matching hull sections. The package includes two standard chairs and two selected pedal drives. Choose fin or propeller pedals, then add optional electric motors and accessories to suit your setup. Batteries are selected separately.

Plan the layout for two people

Allow room for both people to pedal, cast, handle equipment and reach the controls. Think about where rods, tackle, landing equipment and any battery will sit. Check the model-specific total capacity and account for all people and gear; do not treat the published capacity as a payload target for every condition.

Can one person use a Tandem?

Ask about the correct solo seating position, balance and control access for the particular Tandem. Do not assume every two-person kayak handles the same with one occupant. If solo fishing is your normal routine, compare the Solo model and the option of a matching expansion pack.

Consider a Solo-to-Tandem expansion

A matching PORTL expansion pack adds the middle hull section, one standard chair and one selected pedal drive. You retain your existing model family: Passage and Odyssey sections cannot be interchanged. Explore the Passage pack or Odyssey pack.

Make transport part of the decision

Three hull sections, two chairs and two drives need more storage planning than the hull alone. Check each lift, the boot opening and the full cargo layout with your fishing kit.
